Stand Ye In Holy Places

So I had to talk at New Beginnings and thought I'd share my talk for those who might need it and so I can look back and see what my testimony was at this point in my life!!! ENJOY

Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord. Amen… I believe that anywhere we go if we believe in the gospel and have a testimony of it we will be standing in Zion and nobody can move you.  Be an example to those around you.  Every day is a chance to be standing in holy places.   We are the new generation and there is not much time left to make sure we are standing in the right place.  We can’t wait until the end or it will be too late. In the world we are faced with lots of adversary god picked us to be the ones who would fight through it and keep the gospel firm.  The master has a plan and if we endure through it there’s a great gift waiting for us.  We need to always be prepared to serve the lord in anything he might call on us to do.  Some of the ways I find that have helped me stand in holy places is attending the temple and the comfort and peace it gives me, Prayer, Scriptures, family, good friends, seminary, young women leaders, Personal Progress, For the strength of youth, and setting my own personal standards HIGH even if I’m standing alone!!!  I had a personal experience about 2 years ago as I was able to go on a family vacation to Nauvoo Illinois.  We made a stop in independence Missouri on the way to Nauvoo from the airport.  We were able to visit the Independence Visitors Center with lots of neat things about our church.  After our stop there we were able to cross the street and take a tour of the Church of Christ also known as RLDS temple, it looked really cool and interesting from the outside. But after going from such a strong feeling of the spirit and knowing I was in a holy place at the visitor’s center the further through the tour we got I immediately got a unusual feeling that I had never felt before.  I feeling that I knew was yellow flag to me and that I wasn’t in the right place.  After that I got a stronger testimony and I Knew for myself that I belonged to the true church I knew that there was no other church that had such great meaning than ours.  We all are following the lord and need to take his hand and stand in holy place!!!  The lord tells us to go forth and establish his word.  Together lets stand tall for our God, our Religion, our Freedom, and our Peace.  Every choice, every step, and every moment I make set my path and prepares me for the day of the lord.  Stand ye in holy places until the day the lord comes. The Spirit will Guide us through our days but it’s our choice if we seek for the eternal things and walk in his ways.  Say these things in the name of jesus christ amen!!!

Competitions Season

Juan Diego
Lets just say that this week was the toughest week for hi-steppers..the night before competition we had a hard core practice where 3 girls got hut...not the best thing we debated on going to that competition but we pulled through and danced with holes might not have dne the best but it was a good learning experience...

Murray
This year has not been a great year.... the week before murray we had some one come to our practice and judge our routines and decided to cut girls from all 3 routines...so that week we changed formations and learned new part kind of a stressful week but with drill team you learn to learn new things super fast... We did okay at this competition but not like we wanted too

Region
Region we thought we did great but comes to find out the judges just weren't liking our style of dances... We ended up 4th overall...

State
State was a fun weekend with the team... we left earlier than normal this year so that we could see the whole 4A/5A competition those guys were flawless and was so fun to watch some people say these competitions are boring but I could sit and watch them day after day...The next day was our time to shine I was so proud of the way we performed our daces were the best that they had looked all year and was great to end the year with flawless routines.
