I am beyond excited to become an aunt first of july... I couldn't be more happy for carlie and ike and there little baby.  I love little kids and this will be so fun to have a new addition to our family!!! They told us first of december when she was nine weeks along... it's still a dream and seems like we just found out yesterday.  But now she is almost eighteen weeks along. (even though she don't LOOK LIKE IT AT ALL) Last week she went in for a ultrasound with her doctor and as of now i'm getting a nephew but doctor wasn't positive and results could change and we will know for sure in a couple weeks at her next appointment!!! This first half of her pregnancy has gone really fast and hope the rest does and she starts to show so it comes more alive to us.  But i'm so happy and couldn't be anymore!!!!

Region!  Mixed feelings...We did our best and nailed every routine.  We had nothing else we could have done.  We left it all on the floor and in the judges hands.  Not so sure what else they expected from us.  I'm totally positive with my thoughts and know that this weekend at state we will kick everyones butts and show them that the judges were brain dead and blind and that we really deserved the region champion title!!!

We have amazing team unity with each other region week was a fun week I enjoyed doing a team builder or quote throught out the week to get my team ready.  I can even express my thoughts to our amazing parents who put time in to put together a great team dinner for us the night before and pumping us up.  They make us feel so good after region and let us know that we are the champions is there eyes.  We also could do a big shout out thanks to the one and only Coach Park we admire and look up to him so much.. he is such an awesome motivational speaker.. later i'll share a few thoughts from his speech.  JJ and Hadlee also did and amazing talk for our team and I can't wait to be in their footsteps in a couple of years.  I love my teammates so much.. After that fun exciting night we headed to markelles to party playing the kinect and just team talk.  It was a fun night.  Then we headed home to pack and get to bed and read our letter from our coaches what a good week and memories!<3

This video made me laugh my gutts out coach park played this to show us that no matter who we are what we look like or do we are always the best and the champs at heart.  The guy with the sweater represents all the other 3A drill teams and the other one represents us... This will give you a good laugh for the day!!!

 For one of my team builders I did that week I made Heart shaped cupcakes and then you can read the quote I put on them...Also I did one that was a match for everyone and it said "we are all individual little matches but all together we light the floor on fire.

So a few thoughts that really stuck to me that coach park told us was....

• The best present is the PRESENT "right now"
• If you ever use the word can't your right your brain only picks that word up and sikes yourself out and you will never be able to do it.
• He also said we as a team our sisters go do everything for her/them... No matter what the outcome from the judges are it don't matter we all know we did our best and that the memories are what matter most.
• And one of my favorite parts was the video posted above coach park is the BEST!!!

Competiton

We had a competition on January 7, 2012 at Clearfield High School where we attended the Falcon Classic.  We did really well I will never forget the way I felt that day and how much I love my team and am glad I am a part of it.  We took 1st place in our Military... 2nd place in jazz... and 1st place in character.  Coming out of the competition with the overall sweepstakes award. I'm so proud of my team and the hardwork and dedication we put to get this amazing award.

About Me

A little bit about me...I am Marlie Owen I am currently attending Bear River High School.  I am a member of the drill team "Hi-Steppers" and love every minute of it. I love doing crafts, hands on projects, and getting ideas from pinterest.  I also love to take pictures and am into photography.  I plan to attend cosmotology school and will start this next coming year as a junior and BATC Cosmetology. I will keep posting events that happen in my life...!
