Friday
State drill was SOOO much fun! we laughed, we cried, and danced our hears out!!! We left on friday and had a great day we drove to provo checked into our hotel rooms and loaded on the bus to go watch the 4A & 5A drill teams perform... It was amazing to see some of the routines some of the teams I was cheering for was... Hillcrest...Bountiful...Mt. Crest... Cottonwood...Box Elder!!! Hillcrest coaches Brenda searle and Michele Bosco have inspired me for a long time I have always watched them throughout the years and love having them as my majors at the BDT camp. Bountiful I know of the coach and stuff but they were just all out amazing in every routine that they danced the entered the floor and just sold it and ended up it the 4A State title... Mt. Crest know their coaches and they are friends with my mom and also was our sister team last year at camp and we became really close friends with there team... Cottonwoods coach is amazing Krissi choreographed our Jazz this year along with the help of her captain Marli Hughes I'll never forget her because she was amazing dancer and of coarse had one of the best names... and Box Elder I couldn't go and not cheer for them because with out there coach I wouldn't be where I am today! She pushed and coached me and encouraged me when she was my coach at infinity! I also loved watching the girls that I had the opportunity to dance with out on the floor and just bringing back the memories. I have videos of favorite routines and numbers on friday to post later!!! After that we went to Pizza Pie Cafe in Provo... it was yummy! we learned great lessons not to block the food line cause big hungry women get mad say mean things to you and flip you off... after that me and kenna relived the couples purposal in the parking lot and partied on the bus till we headed back to the hotel!!! That night we had a blast as a team during our team night listening to the seniors last and final words to our team and pumped each other up...
Saturday
Saturday we woke up bright and early (4:50 a.m.) to get ready, filled with energy, and leave for UVU for competition day. I had no doubt in my team that we couln't go do our best and kick some ASH (since we are fireman) and beat everyone in our region.. we performed military no mistakes looked great...Came out with jazz and had so much intensity and had the crowd amazed... and Character we sold the dance and had the crowd in love and going wild all the coaches from other teams other spectators LOVED it thanks CIAR STEELE for your amazing choreography you always do for us. Awards cam we were not in the top five but we were all happy we could have cared less... we ended up with 9th.... which proved TWO years in a row that the REAL region CHAMPS was BEAR RIVER ogden who WON region came out of state with 14th overall we kicked trash... we couldn't be happier..!!! that night was a great night... after a long day of competition we headed to chili's for dinner then the hotel to crash!!!
Sunday
sunday we slept in after a long day. We got up and ready and headed for home... on the way home we stopped at target to get some stuff for the super bowl party and me, carlie, and ike went to the baby section... this baby thing is going to drain my bank account everytime i go shopping since I buy something for it we found the cutest little outfits for their baby and I can't wait!!! Sunday night we headed over to my grandma JaDene's for a super bowl party.. it was fun and enjoyed visiting but have to admit we didn't hardly watch the game we enjoyed coloring Tawnie's and Dixon's hair and me Waxing for the first time Tawnies eyebrows...!! it was a great much needed weekend and I can't wait for next weekend and week to go and stay with my sister Carlie at her new house for a week while Ike is gone to Missouri working!!!
