Living The Life: Basic Dance Training

I'm so behind in the blogging world I've been too busy with my crazy fun summer we attended BDT in park city June 20-22 it was a blast as always so sad to see it be done and over with especially since it was my 4th year there and also meant that it was my last year as a drill team member attending BDT. We learned 4 great routine and a super fun hip-hop master class with UDO and an amazing/inspiring lyrical...I usually don't go out of my comfort zone very well but this year I have made it my goal to try harder to inspire myself by going out of my comfort zone I want to feel the dance and the love I have for it... this lyrical routine was about trying to get something you didn't have this was a really touching routine to do I loved to do the improve at the begging and express my feeling and trying to reach for the thing I'm trying to get!!! anyways the food was amazing as always... One thing that I felt privileged to be chosen as was what they call a TOP CORP DANCER it stands for TOTAL OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE I was given a green wristband which I wore the whole time we was at camp Thursday Jerra Kolford one of the majors taught us a jazz combo that was about 10 sets of 8 then we had to improve the rest of the song through out the week they watched and picked 5 girls out of the 50 competing I didn't get the top five but the talent there was at this camp was unreal and I felt amazing to be in the top 50!! We also was the first team at camp to win an award we won the sister technique award which was big deal for our team we also won the sprix de corp award the 2nd day and we won the fitness training award for the whole camp I was so happy to be able to win an award every day of the camp it helps you feel accomplished
